The Hawkstone Farmers Choir is a British vocal group formed of farmers and agricultural workers from across the UK. It was originally brought together through a project linked to the Hawkstone drinks brand and developed into a standing choir after the initial recordings and promotional work brought strong public interest.
The group is made up of more than 30 members, many of whom continue to work full time in farming. Their performances are rooted in rural life and often reflect themes of community, isolation, and the pressures of agricultural work. Over time, the choir moved beyond its original advertising purpose and began performing in its own right, gaining attention for emotionally charged renditions of well known songs.
The choir reached a wider audience through television appearances, including Britain’s Got Talent, where their performances stood out for their collective sound and the personal stories behind the members. Their visibility has also helped draw attention to mental health challenges within farming communities, with the group often associated with raising awareness as much as entertainment.
Today, the Hawkstone Farmers Choir is recognised as both a musical act and a representation of modern British farming life, built on shared experience as much as performance.
