Charlie Kirk (1993–2025) was an influential American activist, political commentator and founder of Turning Point USA, which he established in 2012 to promote conservative values and free-market principles among young Americans.
A passionate advocate of free speech, individual liberty, limited government and traditional values, Kirk became one of the most recognisable voices in the American conservative movement, inspiring a new generation to engage in politics and challenge prevailing political orthodoxies. Through his speeches, debates, podcasts and campus appearances, he championed open discussion and encouraged young people to question mainstream narratives rather than accept them unquestioningly.
A devoted husband and father, he remained a prominent and outspoken figure in American politics until his assassination on 10 September 2025.
